First Aid Equipment
First aid equipment means the supplies used to help yourself and/or a casualty at the scene.These tools work in the minutes before professional help arrives.
The section covers first aid kits, tourniquets, pressure bandages, wound care, trauma shears and other equipment. The vocabulary of TCCC and Stop the Bleed training is a useful map. Massive bleeding control comes first with a tourniquet, hemostatic dressing and pressure bandage. Covering and securing the wound follows. Build your kit around the situations you actually train for. Exercise differs from battle - one's main tools are bandaids, while other’s tourniquets.
