Pressure Bandages
A pressure bandage combines a sterile pad, an elastic wrap and a pressure bar. One person can apply firm, constant pressure to a wound fast. The Israeli bandage is the best-known design.
Common widths are 4 inch and 6 inch. The larger covers a bigger wound area, for example on the thigh. The compact one slips into a slim first aid kit. Vacuum-sealed packaging keeps a bandage serviceable for years. In TCCC-style kit lists it sits right beside the tourniquet as a core bleeding-control item. For minor injuries the wound care selection covers plasters and sterile dressings.
