Underwear
A base layer is the layer nobody sees but everybody feels. Its whole job is moving sweat off your skin before it starts cooling you. A small detail that matters a lot.
The material question is a straightforward trade. Merino wool insulates even damp and stays odour-free through a multi-day exercise. Synthetics dry faster and survive machine washing better. The range covers long-sleeve tops, long johns and functional boxers cut to reduce chafing under load - common issue for soldiers. Go heavier knit for winter and lighter for the shoulder seasons. Pair it with wicking socks and thermal underwear in several fabric weights.
Order early before a field exercise. The right size then arrives well before you head out.
