Lightsticks
Crack it, shake it, and it glows for hours on zero batteries. A lightstick (chemlight) is a single-use chemical light source. Water, frost and drops cannot kill it. That is why it rides in soldier, rescuer and hiker kits worldwide.
A typical stick glows 8 to 12 hours. Colours carry meaning on exercises. Green works for general marking, red marks a hazard or a casualty point. IR versions show up only through night vision devices. Use chemlights to mark tent lines and routes or to set a night rally point. For a directed beam you still need a flashlight. You will find them under lamps and lighting.
At a few grams each, carrying several costs nothing. Need IR versions in volume? Give our team a shout.
