Socks

Socks are the cheapest way to save a hike — or ruin one. Good socks are even more important than boots - wrong socks start to create blisters even in good boots. Proper merino socks wick moisture, insulate even wet and resist odour: three things a cotton sock does none of.

Choose by activity - hiking socks for hiking, long socks for boots, waterproof ones for special ops. If choosing wool socks two specs matter: merino share (40–70% wool for warmth, synthetic content for durability) and shaft height — a boot sock must ride above the collar of your boots or the edge will rub. Thin summer weaves and terry-cushioned winter models cover the seasons, and seamless toes prevent blisters on long marches. Wool socks also top every Estonian conscription packing list — one of the few items genuinely worth buying yourself.

We keep multiple sizes in the Tallinn warehouse at all times, because experienced buyers order three pairs at once.
