Pocket Knives
A pocket knife is a folding knife that is always with you. It handles everyday cutting jobs, from parcels and cordage to food prep on the trail. Small, light and easy to justify in any pocket.
A good folder starts with its lock. A liner lock or frame lock keeps the blade firmly open under load. One-hand opening and a pocket clip make daily carry effortless. Blades typically run 6 to 9 cm and weigh under 150 g. Handles come in G10 composite or aluminium. When a job outgrows a folder, step up to a fixed blade knife. If you also need pliers and screwdrivers, pick a multitool instead.
