Fixed Blade Knives

A fixed blade knife is the strongest knife type you can carry. With no moving parts, the blade takes loads that would break a folder. It is the core tool for bushcraft, hunting and camp work.

A blade of 9 to 12 cm covers most jobs in the woods. Stainless steel needs little maintenance. Carbon steel holds its edge and throws good sparks off a ferro rod. A full tang blade runs through the whole handle and survives batoning firewood. Each knife ships with a leather or kydex sheath that mounts on a belt or pack. For lighter everyday cutting, look at pocket knives instead. Leave the heavy chopping to shovels, saws and axes.

The best way to choose a knife is to hold it first. Visit our showroom at Kadaka tee 42b in Tallinn, open Monday to Friday from 10 to 18.
