Burners

A camping stove boils water and cooks hot food wherever an open fire is off the table. It is the heart of any camp kitchen. The range covers gas burners, solid-fuel stoves and liquid-fuel models.

A canister gas burner boils a litre of water in roughly 3 to 4 minutes. The lightest models weigh under 100 g. A solid-fuel stove runs on tablets and makes a simple, dependable backup. For winter pick a model rated for isobutane mixes or liquid fuel. Pure butane loses pressure in the cold. An output of 2000 to 3000 W covers solo cooking. A windscreen is worth having on open ground. Matching fuel and pots sit in their own subcategories.

Our team of reservists has run most of these stoves in forest camps. Ask us which model fits your scenario before you buy.
