Hydration Systems

A hydration system is a reservoir with a hose and bite valve that sits inside a backpack or vest. You drink on the move without stopping or opening the pack. It suits hikers, runners and riders. It suits a reservist just as well, with both hands busy on a march.

We stock Osprey Hydraulics reservoirs and spare parts. Capacities run 1.5 L, 2 L, 2.5 L and 3 L. A day hike needs 1.5 to 2 litres. A long hot day or a trail with few water sources calls for 3 L. The low Lumbar 1.5 L reservoir fits a waist pack. Soft 250 ml flasks go in a running vest pocket. Every reservoir is BPA-free TPU film with a wide slide-seal opening and a quick-connect hose. The magnetic bite valve clips to the sternum strap. Spare bite valves, hoses and magnet kits bring an old reservoir back to life. Most backpacks have a reservoir sleeve. A separate MOLLE carrier for the reservoir sits under hydration pouches. Bottles and thermoses live under water bottles.

Dry the reservoir and hose after every trip. That keeps taste and mould away. Not sure a reservoir fits your pack? Ask our team. Most items ship from the supplier's warehouse in four to five days.
