Other Hiking Equipment

At the end of every packing list sits a row of small items no one leaves behind. Other hiking equipment gathers the practical gear that fits no main section. Small things solve big trail problems.

Expect attachment hardware, care items and other purpose-built pieces. Choose on the principle that every extra gram must earn its place in the pack. Favour items that still work wet, in the dark and with frozen fingers. A small piece here often costs less than a cup of coffee yet saves the whole trip. Blades live under hiking knives and tools, including multitools. The wider overview sits at hiking equipment.

This section grows with lessons from our own trips. If something essential is missing, tell us and we will consider adding it to the range.
