Thermal & Winter Jackets
When the temperature drops below zero and moving turns into waiting, an insulated winter jacket earns its keep: synthetic fills such as keep warming even when damp — a decisive advantage over down in a wet Estonian winter.
The range includes Snugpak and Helikon-Tex jackets of the type issued in several NATO armies. Thickness follows the task: static guard duty and hunting stands call for maximum warmth, while active movement pairs better with a thin insulated layer you throw on at breaks. On the move, a breathable softshell over a fleece often replaces the thick jacket entirely.
Our crew tests winter kit every year in real Estonian winters on exercises — this shelf is what survived the cut. We never go out for exercise without thermal jacket.
