Sleeping Bags
Choose a sleeping bag by its comfort rating, not the headline extreme figure. Under EN ISO 23537 the comfort rating marks where a standard user still sleeps warm. The extreme rating is merely a survival limit.
The range splits by season. Summer sleeping bags start at comfort ratings around +5 °C. Three-season models cover +5 to −5 °C. Winter sleeping bags are built for −5 °C and below. In Estonia's damp climate synthetic fill is a safer bet than down. It keeps insulating when wet and dries fast. Military-pedigree makers in the range include Snugpak and Carinthia. Always judge the bag together with a proper mat. No temperature figure holds without ground insulation.
