The Salomon Speed Assault 2 is designed for users who need a fast, agile, and durable footwear solution for operational use, training, and outdoor movement in warm conditions. As the second generation of the Speed Assault platform, it builds on the concept of a highly breathable and lightweight mission shoe that supports mobility without compromising grip or stability.

The upper combines nylon ripstop with TPU reinforcements in high-wear areas, helping the shoe remain light on the foot while improving durability and lateral support. Its seamless upper construction, breathable synthetic lining, and moisture-wicking quick-drying properties help maintain a balanced foot climate even during extended use in higher temperatures.

The outsole uses a chunky Mud Contagrip® tread for traction on uneven and off-road surfaces, while the heel area features particularly strong cushioning through a thickened midsole wedge. In the forefoot, the midsole remains flatter and more flexible, supporting natural movement while stabilising elements in the midfoot help keep the foot securely positioned.

Additional functional details include a quick lacing system, a centred anti-soiling tongue, an elastic lace pocket built into the tongue, a lightweight protective toe construction with TPU reinforcement, and a removable Ortholite® insole. The result is a shoe that prioritises speed, breathability, and dependable terrain performance in a lightweight tactical format.
