Hultafors Ågelsjön Mini Hatchet is named after Lake Ågelsjön, located near the historic Hults Bruk forge, whose water once powered the forge’s water wheel. This is the smallest axe in the Hultafors lineup, purpose-built for hiking, bushcraft and camp use.

With its short handle and low overall weight, the Ågelsjön axe is easy to pack in a backpack or carry on a belt. It is perfectly suited for common campsite tasks such as splitting kindling, preparing firewood, or building simple shelters. The axe is hand-forged in Sweden at the Hults Bruk forge, where axe-making traditions date back to 1697. Each axe head is forged from high-quality Swedish axe steel using repeated hammer strikes, creating a denser, stronger and more durable structure. Hultafors’ distinctive heat treatment produces a clearly defined hardened zone, allowing safe sharpening without compromising edge strength.
