The ComTac VIII automatically suppresses or limits hazardous sound spikes—such as gunfire, blasts, heavy machinery, or vehicle noise—down to safe levels. At the same time, safe and important sounds are passed through and enhanced. This lets you maintain awareness of commands, movement, teammates, and directional acoustic cues without removing your hearing protection. Whether on the range, in training, or in field operations, it keeps you protected and informed.
Situational awareness is driven by Talk-Through, supporting natural perception of direction and distance. Beyond that, ComTac VIII supports Mission Audio Profiles (MAP), allowing users to tailor the acoustic environment to the task at hand—observation, patrolling, conversation, or other mission phases. MAP helps you prioritize what matters most in each context, making the headset a flexible tool in dynamic environments.
Earplug mode adds another layer of versatility.
