Merino etc
A merino shirt is the backbone of any layering system: merino wool stays warm when damp, resists odour through multi-day wear and regulates temperature from field camp to office.
This category holds long- and short-sleeve shirts in pure merino and merino blends, typically 150–200 g/m² fabric weight. Around 150 g/m² works as a year-round base layer, while 200 g/m² suits the colder months. On a long exercise or duty rotation with no chance to wash, merino keeps its clearest edge over synthetics. The same wool works underfoot as merino socks; other cuts fill the shirts range.
