Good boots cost hundreds of euros. Care products are the cheapest insurance and extension for that investment. This category holds waxes, waterproofing treatments and cleaners for leather boots, membrane shells and the rest of your gear.
Match the product to the material. Full-grain leather boots want regular wax or balm. That keeps the leather supple and water-repellent. Membrane footwear and jackets need dedicated tech wash and a DWR re-proofer. Ordinary detergent clogs membrane pores. Mud, road salt and drying boots next to a stove can cut untreated footwear life to a fraction. Firearm cleaning and lubrication live in the separate gun care category.
