Up to 30L Backpacks
An assault pack is a backpack of up to 30 litres. It carries a day's essentials without slowing you down. Think hydration, spare layers, rations and first aid.
The 15 to 30 litre class mixes MOLLE-equipped tactical daypacks with cleaner urban and hiking packs. Go for MOLLE if you plan to add pouches. Elastic cord is useful for attaching jackets and other equipment quickly on the outside. A padded back panel adds wearing comfort. Our selection starts from Mil-Tec, Helikon-Tex, Direct Action and ends with Berghaus, Osprey, 5.11, Tasmanian Tiger and others. If you need more volume, step up in the backpacks range. For the bare minimum a waist bag is enough.
Most of the Steelcore crew run a pack from this class daily. Our recommendations come from wear, not spec sheets.
